June Gloom

This machine makes MAGIC! Every time I push THIS BUTTON, I give you NEW MUSIC! It will warp and expand your mind and do things to you like never have been done before, ya FEEL ME? MAY(hem) 2020!

Yep! It's a black hole springtime sun for everyone! It seems we've all but disappeared from the planet, sucked into the viral vortex of isolation, loneliness, fear, paranoia, and despair. It's as if we're hiding our eyes behind our masks - without seeing smiles we aren't seeing each other. But luckily the music HASN'T disappeared. It just keeps on coming, escaping the darkness with glimmering light so that all might see (don't hide your ears!).

MAY is upon us. And MAY(be) the light we once knew will be revealed, and we will bask in the sun, growing like the grasses and flowers, and we will see each other again. But for now, we find it inside ourselves, and MAY(be) pouring these amazing sounds through your earholes and into your blown minds will suffice. For now,  DIG THIS!

Mostly Missed in March (2019 revisited)

It's true! Nothing in this life matters because NOTHING IS REAL. It doesn't matter if we live or if we die, as long as we ARE. It doesn't matter what "happens", because time is illusory, reality is a dream, and dreams reality. The avoidance of pain and the seeking of bliss are the only constants, and by their very nature are transitory. Nothing lasts forever, and forever is a long, long time. And it doesn't matter that, in the time since the "year 2019", more amazing bliss, in the form of outlandish, outre', out-of-body, out-of-this world, out-of-this-space/time continuum MUSIX "happened"... only to be discovered after the "fact". But it's never too "late"!

Whoops, I did it again! I ended up with another THREE HOUR playlist! Shit "happens"! So here it is! The following tracks are included in the players below:

The Very Best Of 2019 Part 2

MORE FROM THE VAULTS!

Yep! As noted in the picture above, this is 30-40 more songs (34 actually) representing the very best space rock released in 2019! Beware! This is some heavy shit! Coming after the 31 songs included in Part 1 in January, Part 2 comes hot on the heels of the new year, furiously chasing the MAELSTROM of ecstatic release. Or something like that.

I've chosen 65 songs for the annual best of 2019 playlists, divided into two THREE HOUR sets for easier digestion. Most of it fits the niches of psychedelic, experiMENTAL, kraut rock, post rock, stoner rock, shoegaze, dream pop etc., all under the blanket term SPACE ROCK. And, as is my wont, I included plenty of the just plain WEIRD noisy avant-garde WHATCHAMACALLIT just to keep you on your toes and your head in SPACE.

Trilogy Part 3

AND HELLLOOO AGAIN AGAIN SPACEROCKERS!!! As noted the last two months, this year has seen an even more massive boon of spacerock being culled into my earholes than ever before, and I need to share that with you, my faithful listeners. So over October, November, and December of this year I'ma hit you with THE TRILOGY: monthly blasts of all the goodies I've discovered. Why? Because I love you!

We've been monthly for three months now - do you think this should be a thing? It used to be, but with plenty of SPACE but very little TIME we've been reduced to quarterly. But the libraries are crammed full of spacerocky goodies and the idea of going monthly again may very well rekindle this LOVE affair. It's time, to make the TIME. And also, the month of January 2020 will feature the very BEST OF 2019, which now plays at SIX FUCKING HOURS. That's alotta spacerock! Prepare accordingly (make the TIME).

And since our motto is "not all spacerock (and not all the time)," this set, being the THIRD installment in the Trilogy, features some bona fide WEIRDNESS. Shoegaze, post rock, psychedelia, kraut rock... all the usual spacerock suspects are here, but an abundance of the abstruse permeates throughout. Some dark, some heavy, some trance-inducing, and some excellent examples of WHAT. THE. FUCK? Because, why not?
